Marriage Retreat 2017
The theme for the weekend is, “The Story of Us.” We got the idea from a movie with the same name starring Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfeifer. In the movie, they are a struggling married couple who share their story with the camera. Their story, even though fictitious, touched us. We found ourselves caught up in the laughter and the sorrow of this couple and began to wonder how important our story as a couple was. We wondered if we had anything beneficial to share with others. We have discovered that when it comes to relationships, we all have something to learn and we all have something to share. You may not consider the details of your marriage journey to be very interesting; however, it may be a story that gives another couple hope and purpose.
This retreat has been specifically designed to allow you to develop a stronger support system by giving you time together as spouses, and allowing you as a couple to develop relationships with other couples around you. Additionally, we want you to feel like you’ve retreated, so we have intentionally kept our session times to a minimum and our calendar free from too many events.
