About Our Ministry
Our ministry for children, known as GrapeKids, loves to teach kids about God! We share about God’s love while we sing, read the Bible, pray, play and grow in faith.
Our mission is to walk alongside families throughout their child’s spiritual development. We help children learn to love God’s Word, gain confidence in their faith, and build excitement in sharing the good news of Jesus with others!
Even though we have lots of fun in our GrapeKids ministry, we take raising disciples of Jesus very seriously. The way to know Jesus is through READing God’s Word and spending time in PRAYer… so we GROW in our faith!

Sunday Bible Classes | 9:15-10:00 am

Our preschool class uses Sunday School Zone curriculum, a 2-year cycle through the Old and New Testament.
School agers also follow a 2-year cycle through the Old and New Testament, using material written by a local church of Christ.
We help children memorize monthly memory verses. We also encourage kids to take our Read, Pray, Grow challenge (reading the Bible and praying for 30 days), and we offer an optional quarterly Bible Quest challenge for our school-agers (reciting Bible facts, verses, and doing service tasks). Kids earn prizes for completing the challenges. We love helping parents get God’s Word and His love into little hearts!
Sunday Worship | 10:15-11:15 am
Nursery
An attended nursery is available during worship service in Room 102 for little ones up to 35 months old.
Children’s Worship – Room 101
Children’s Worship is available for kids 3 yrs – 2nd grade. First, we all attend worship together in the auditorium. After communion time, children (who choose to attend) are led to Room 101. Each week we sing praises, share a Bible story, and enjoy a puppet show. Kids can also choose to stay in “big church” with their families… we love having children participate in our worship service!
Private “Mom’s Room” – Room 100
We offer a private room for mothers to change, feed, or soothe little ones. The room has a changing table, rocking chair, a few toys, and live-stream viewing of the worship service.

Safety
Volunteers in Children’s Ministry have been members at least six months and are required to complete a bi-annual background check and safety training course.
If your child has special needs, please email Nan Camp ahead of your visit so we can have a buddy volunteer ready to assist your child.
Before you arrive on campus, you can set up a KidCheck account for your child(ren) for easy check-in to Bible class and Children’s Worship. If two parents/caregivers will be picking up children from class, please complete separate accounts.

Annual Activities and Service Opportunities
Golden Agers Valentine Lunch – kids decorate, serve lunch, and provide entertainment for our Senior Adults
Easter Celebration – community Easter Service at our Mission Field
VBS – weekend summer Outreach Event to share Jesus
Summer Swim Party & Play Days – varies each year
Grace Feed Our Kids Program – several summer days we provide meal preparation and distribution for needy children in our city
Back to School Bash – Sunday evening fellowship event
Annual Pray for Our Kids Opportunity – members select child(ren) to pray over through the new school year
Fall Festival – Community Outreach Event
Kids’ Mini Camp Out – Fun evening “camping” at our Mission Field. It’s a great opportunity to invite a friend!
Breakfast with Santa – Outreach Event partnered with Grapevine Christian School
Candlelight Service – All-church service including Children’s Nativity Song or Play
