ABOUT RE:GEN
We all experience brokenness in life. At re:generation, we believe that anyone can experience new life and freedom by working through steps of healing given to us by God through the Bible. All who are tired, broken or hurting are invited to come find recovery in Jesus Christ.
Re:generation is 12-step discipleship through recovery. By working through these biblical steps within an authentic community, people have found freedom from substance abuse, codependency, pornography, eating disorders, depression, fear, control, emotional/physical abuse, same sex attraction, anger, obsessive thoughts and many other personal struggles.
We know that not everyone who comes to re:generation will enter understanding the Bible or believing in the God of the Bible. Re:generation is a safe place for anyone to honestly process questions and doubts. Our prayer is that you will find the same peace that we have found.
God loves you. He wants to heal you and has a plan for you. All are welcome.

THE RE:GEN DIFFERENCE
The list below outlines key characteristics that make re:generation different from other recovery programs. If you would like to learn more, contact us at regen@grapevinechurch.com.
Discipleship focus
Full devotion to Christ is our mission. Heart change is more important than behavior modification. “Sobriety” from addiction is not the destination, it is a road-marker along way in our journey with Christ. True freedom comes from a daily intimate relationship with Christ.
Curriculum Designed To Teach The Essentials Of Living A Spiritually Healthy Life
Built around the 12 Steps of Re:generation (which outline the biblical transformation process for all), participants learn how to identify idols, develop repentance plans, practice forgiveness, amends and reconciliation for the purpose of making peace, and handle conflict biblically. They learn how to practice spiritual disciplines to grow in a relationship with Christ. They also discover how God has uniquely designed them and plan how they can use these gifts to live out God’s purpose for life.
Daily lessons
Because freedom comes from a relationship with Christ, we offer daily curriculum throughout re:generation. We give participants the opportunity to connect with God daily to learn about him and work on personal recovery.
Scripture Memory & Daily Prayer
Talking with God and memorizing his Word for the purpose of transformation is an integral part of daily curriculum.
Bound Together By Our Need For God, Not Identified By Struggles
Small groups are only separated by male and female, not by struggle. Sinful patterns are symptoms of a worship issue (idolatry). Mixed-issue groups help focus recovery on the heart rather than on behavior and help expose the lie no one can understand our personal struggle or pain.
Integration / Participation In The Church
Isolating from the church or within the church is unhealthy. Isolation grows addiction, brokenness and sinful patterns. We encourage participants to join church membership, find mentors in the church and serve in various ministries at a church home.
Continuous One-night Ministry Model
Participants may join re:generation on any given week. A one-night ministry model allows for interaction of participants at different stages of recovery, increased leadership recruitment, improved leader development, and ministry training.
Real-time Leadership Training
We provide extensive leader training when new groups launch, key training at critical stages of recovery (inventory), along with weekly videos and leader guides for each week of curriculum.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I come if I don’t have a chemical addiction?
Yes! Re:generation is for everyone. God’s steps of healing can free you from any addiction, struggle or hurt. Many people come in order to discover the source of their pain. You will always be welcome regardless of the struggle.
How does re:generation work?
Re:generation is a biblical 12-step process structured within the context of small groups. Your first couple of months will be spent in either a newcomers group (first week) or a groundwork group. Once you have completed the groundwork curriculum, demonstrated a willingness to participate and decided that you want to move forward, you will be placed into a step-group to go through the 12 steps. Step-groups have a set number of participants and leaders. Once a step-group is launched, no new members will be added. For the next 8 to 10 months you will progress through the steps using daily curriculum along with other step-group members.
How long does it take?
The entire re:generation process takes about a year; newcomers and groundwork groups take about 2 months, step-groups take 8 to 10 months. The groundwork curriculum lessons take about 10 minutes per day while step-group curriculum takes about 30 minutes per day. 30 minutes a day with God for one year working on your recovery will change your life.
How much does it cost?
There is no charge to attend re:generation. Once you decide to start the curriculum, you will need to purchase books at different stages of the ministry (about every six weeks). There are a total of six books. Costs can vary slightly at locations. Most of the books run between $10-$15, except for the Inventory Workbook which accompanies Step 4-6 and costs about half the price of the other books. Total cost is between $55-$75 for a year of curriculum with costs spread out through the year.
What is the flow of a re:generation meeting?
Re:generation meetings may vary from week to week. However, we usually begin the meeting with all leaders and participants gathered together during the first 45 minutes to worship and hear a testimony or teaching. The large gathering will then break into smaller groups for the remainder of the time: newcomers groups, groundwork groups and step-groups all meet separately for the next hour and 15 minutes. All together, the gathering lasts about 2 hours.
Is childcare available?
We do provide childcare for leaders and participants by reservation only.
